SIY Core

SIY Core Program is the 16-hour course that was developed and refined at Google.
The program focus is on the five key domains of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills – with mindfulness practice, science, and leadership applications fully integrated at all levels.

The program is highly interactive and trains people to optimize performance, train leadership skills and increase well-being.  Each session is approximately one-third content and two-thirds skill training.  Skill training includes individual, dyadic, and group exercises consisting of attention training, active listening with verbal feedback, writing exercises, and emotion regulation.

SIY Core Program can be presented as four half-days over multiple weeks or as a two day intensive.   There are three available versions:

  • Wellness—Relevant for employees at all levels of their career, this version provides the basic skills needed to work well and work smart, even in times of challenge and uncertainty
  • Management—Relevant for managers, this version provides skills for meaningful and effective engagement to guide teams, based on mindfulness and emotional intelligence
  • Executive Leadership—Relevant for executive and senior leaders, this version supports decision-makers to refine leadership presence, effective communication, and the capacity to meet complex, adaptive challenges with flexibility and grace

SIY Mastery

A year-long course for companies or teams that are deeply committed to lasting culture change and mastery of leadership skills.  The course provides ongoing support, deeper engagement with tools and conversations, and creates the building blocks for an organization where people truly love coming to work.  The course can be presented in person as five full days, or ten half days over multiple months.  In addition to in-person training hours, the mastery course includes:

  • Ten hours of online coursework (one hour/month)
  • Ten hours of phone/online support from SIYLI trainers (one hour/month)
  • Emphasis on personal development and integration of tools into daily life
  • Support to integrate course tools into organizational processes
  • Quarterly data assessments to monitor progress

Focused trainings for further development of the practical applications of mindfulness and emotional intelligence.

SIY Mindful Coaching and Consulting

SIY Mindful Coaching
Six-month program for teams or individuals with regular one-on-one meetings, providing support and addressing skills and practices for applying mindfulness and emotional intelligence.  Primary areas of competence building include:

• Ease and confidence in the midst of pressure
• Inspiring trust
• Fostering open communication and dialogue
• Work/life balance
• Team building
